New Flex Pro Digger Derrick Controls Provide Powerful Precision

Terex Utilities is integrating the latest technology into its industry-leading digger derricks to give operators the control positions they want and the reliable Terex equipment they expect.

The new Flex Pro controls provide a suite of electronic consoles that will allow operators to execute digger derrick functions with precision and accuracy.

Flex Pro consoles include multiple electric joystick layouts based on operator preferences. Up to a half dozen radio remote configurations are available to give digger derrick operators the controls that best fit their requirements. Flex Pro controls provide operators the same feel and featherability that they have come to expect from a Terex digger derrick.

“Flex Pro is the next generation of customizable controls,” Product Marketing Manager Tyler Schwingler said. “There are several Flex Pro digger derricks in the field today and operators are giving us positive feedback on the superior multi-function ability and the precision of the equipment.”

All Flex Pro consoles and radio remotes have an LCD screen that will display real-time system feedback, hydraulic pressure readings from several different digger derrick locations, screw-anchor torque, throttle RPM presets, and digger derrick diagnostics. Flex Pro consoles can easily be changed at any time by bolting on the desired controls and plugging in a single electronic connector.

Terex digger derricks equipped with Flex Pro include X-Boost as a standard feature which delivers industry-leading work zone lifting capacity.

“Flex Pro provides operators with tailored control options. It does not impact anything that has made Terex the market leader in digger derricks,” Schwingler said. “The boom structure, load charts, and reliability of Terex digger derricks remain unchanged.”

All Terex digger derricks with radio remote controls will now include the new Flex Pro technology. Several other digger derrick configurations can also be equipped with Flex Pro giving operators the latest technology installed on the leading digger derrick in the industry.
