M412 Processing Demolition Waste

A dealer faced a significant challenge in processing demolition waste mixed with solid clay and sticky materials. The presence of large concrete slabs, too sizable for conventional screeners, exacerbated the problem.
The frequently wet weather in the UK compounded the issue, causing the feed material to become sticky and adhere to screeners and scalpers. To address these challenges, the MDS M412 heavy duty trommel was used in the demolition waste processing application..
The Challenge:
The primary challenge was to efficiently separate clean concrete from sticky materials and clay within the demolition waste. The large concrete slabs, combined with the wet feed material, caused frequent stoppages and inefficiencies in conventional processing equipment.
The M412 Heavy Duty Trommel Solution:
The MDS M412 track trommel screen, equipped with a Diesel CAT 2.2 Tier 4 Stage 5 Engine, fines 75mm (3") fully welded drum, and a drum cleaner attachment. The M412's specialized design proved highly effective in cleaning the demolition waste, ensuring the removal of sticky materials and clay. The machine demonstrated a consistent throughput of 450-500 TPH, with a fuel efficiency of 15 L/hr. Notably, its ability to handle oversized feed material made it an ideal solution for this challenging application.
